Quit being such a cuck and put your foot down, either go full blatant or be legit "i don't need to prove it to you" is one of the most insecure statements i hear all the time, good job telling us indirectly that you're bad at this game You can't just backwardsass the "oh but it's singleplayer!!!" argument and then say "speedrun cheating is bad", it's a two-sided coin, there's no compromise to itĬasual players is not a label or an excuse, a casual player can 100% this game with enough time put into it, you don't need to be some kind of expert to get all the unlocks in isaac You're opening pandoras box to even respond positively to this thread You're false-justifying people to cheat- but you don't even know how to actually use the debug menu concerning you can't even spawn an item pedestal for yourself or know how to use the "giveitem" command that's right built into the AB+ debug console, so you're obviously the most mechanically sound player Keep pandering dude it totally helps your case Seems to me like the most responsible way to deal with this, especially considering the second part of this list. But since they can't be prevented, I prefer to explain how to do it properly instead of relying on shady sites that could have malicious intents. I understand "cheats" are a taboo on Steam forums. It is a singleplayer game with no relevant online functionalities, no harm can be done to others whatsoever, it can't affect your own experience. Cheats are possible in this game and easy to do. To anyone about to comment "boo cheats me report you". Thinking about it, I don't know if having a Mac (instead of Windows) could prevent some parts of this "process". I could go into more details about that "AB mod option", but later and only if you ask for (got something to do right now). Requires a file unpacker ("Rick's Unpacker", typically), a text editor (Notepad++, Geany, whatever), and basic understanding of how the game reads its files. To change them, you'd have to close the game, make the edits, and launch the game again. However, you could create a simple, custom mod for AB which edits your starting items. About "spawning items", I don't think you can do that while in-game. Any tutorial about freezing memory values should do the trick. No idea where I found it back then though, on which version it was precisely, or if it would work on your current version of the game.ĬE can definitely freeze your health though, working as any CE cheat. It doesn't exist without this expansion (or at the very least, can't be accessed in any way).ī) A long time ago, I found a Cheat Engine table (I enjoy the technical side of programs) for the game that made it possible to spawn any item I wanted (or to be more precise, get the item I wanted when touching a pedestal). For instance, the achievement and eggs commands unlock stuff in your game save, but saving your persistent data is disabled when mods are turned on.A) The console is added by AB+. Some commands that are still in the game aren't listed here since they're only useful for Nicalis developers, or are no longer useful. Also, try the clipboard! You can paste multiple commands at once or copy the last few commands you entered using the copy command. If you're testing a specific item or item combo, it's useful to enter your commands and then exit and continue so your items are reloaded when you continue and you don't need to keep retyping the same command. Some of the crashes are documented below, but there are likely others. The debug console is not completely stable, so if you enter commands like numbers outside certain ranges, it may crash. Now modders can finally unleash its power! It can be a big time saver for testing your changes during development of mods. The debug console is a feature of Isaac that's been around since Rebirth, but until AB+ it's only been enabled in developer builds. To hide the console, just hit Enter without typing anything.īeware of spoilers! You can easily learn things accidentally via the debug console that you might have wanted to learn from regular gameplay! On english (American) keyboardlayouts, it should be below Esc. To show the console, while in a run press the grave/tilde (`~) key. If you don't have any mods to enable, download one from Steam Workshop, or create an empty folder in your mods. To access the debug console, mods must be enabled.
